Claudia will never forget the day she and her best friend, Colleen, were standing in the wine section at Trader Joe's. Colleen and her husband Roger had been trying to set Claudia up with this guy, Garrett Ruoff. Roger and Garrett met in the police academy and became good friends. Claudia was VERY reluctant about it and was almost positive it would be a bad idea. Cynical much? After much persuasion, Claudia agreed to go on a double date and meet up with Garrett in New Hope, PA. But then a severe thunderstorm warning came. Claudia tried her best to back out, oh but the rain! Colleen was not having it. The four made it to New Hope in one piece and vibed over Mexican food, ice cream, and a mutual love of Cape May. That rainy first date turned into several more dates, and Claudia and Garrett squeezed each other in as much as possible in a cop's crazy schedule (IYKYK). Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" soon became the soundtrack of their first and best summer together. And even though everything wasn't always perfect, in the end, they always knew they were meant to be together. Four years, and a proposal in their beloved little beach town later, Claudia and Garrett are ready to say "I do!" They cannot wait to celebrate their sweet love with their absolute favorite people on October 3rd!
